Volkswagen MK7 GTI Wheels

The MK7 Volkswagen Golf GTI was introduced to the North American market in 2015, and has been going strong ever since. If you didn’t know, the GTI is a legendary car in the Euro car scene. Go to any Euro car meet and you’re guaranteed to see a ton of GTI’s, from all generations. Out of the box, the MK7 isn’t the quickest car in the world. However, Volkswagen builds these car so modestly, that the aftermarket scene can turn this tame EUDM hatchback into an absolute animal.

That said, our buddy Dominic knew that and we’re proud to present to you his stunning MK7 build. Being a Euro guy at heart, and working at Pasadena Volkswagen, Dom knew the ins and outs of the GTI. Except there was a couple things he thought needed improvement. One of those things, were the OEM wheels. For the plans he had for the build, the OE VW GTI wheels just weren’t enough. Nothing a set of lightweight flow forged wheels can’t fix, right?

Über Euro

Our boy Dominic’s VW GTI is no joke. When you talk about modifying Euro cars, there are some heavy hitters in the industry you need to mention. Dominic did just that when building this beauty. We gotta say it…this is one of the cleanest GTI’s we’ve seen so far.

Let’s get into the mod list, shall we? Dom is running a Eurocode TRUFlo turbo muffler delete, Eurocode TRUFit silicone hose kit, Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, a modified stock intake with a K&N air filter, NGK spark plugs, Turbosmart BOV, carbon fiber valve stem caps, APR turbo inlet pipe, APR coil packs, and rolled fenders by Kormodiv Inc.

In addition, the car is tuned with an APR Stage 1 ECU tune and an APR TCU tune. This GTI puts down some serious power with a lightning quick DCT. With great power comes great…loss of traction? Which is exactly why Dom went with our gloss black Curva Concepts CFF300 from our flow forged line. Running 18×8.5 on all four corners and wrapped in the best tires on earth: Michelen Pilot Super Sport 4S in 235/40.
