We were finally able to get our hands on the new 2023 Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition. Four words: Love. At. First. Sight. This thing is the very definition of a ‘hot hatch’. As if the GR Corolla Core and Circuit weren’t enough, Toyota went ahead and introduced the Morizo and limited it to 200 units stateside for MY23. OK, so what makes this one so much more special you ask? Well, it’s geared towards full-blown track driving. It gains an additional 22 pound-feet of torque, totaling 295 pound-feet. It sheds 106 pounds by deleting the rear seats, speakers, rear window regulators, and rear wiper blade and motor. It’s perfect.
Diving straight into the wheel fitment, this GR is running our Curva Concepts CFF300 (Flow Forged) in a gloss black finish. Which by the way, looks incredible paired up with the OEM matte Smoke paint. All four corners of this pocket rocket are running 18×9.5 ET35. The tires aren’t set in stone, but we ended up using a square 245/40 via the Falken Azenis FK460 A/S. To be fair, it’s a fantastic tire on a daily driver, but we know this car begs for more. Also, Toyota chose an interesting feature on this car. The rear axles come equipped with a 10mm spacer, straight from the factory. So make sure to keep that in mind when shopping for wheels.
