The K5 is the newest addition to the KIA lineup, which replaces the oh so popular Optima. Over the last few years, KIA has been making major strides in the automotive industry. With the release of their flagship performance sedan, the KIA Stinger, the Koreans soon realized they were onto something.
The late model Optima had a solid aftermarket automotive following. With tons of performance manufacturers creating parts for the Optima, we knew we had hop on the K5 quick! We’ve seen some really cool aftermarket wheels for the Optima platform, but since the updated chassis with the K5, the people have been waiting!

KIA K5 Wheel Upgrade
When it comes to custom rims for the K5, there are a few different size options you can go with. This platform allows for 18”, 19”, and 20” wheel applications. Take a quick look at our custom wheel collection to see some of the different compatible wheels for your KIA.
Our client was looking to upsize from the standard 18” wheels to a 19” or 20” wheel. He wanted a wheel that would showcase the brake calipers and offered a multi-spoke look. After considering the 20” C49, he decided to opt for the similar 10-spoke style 19” C44 in Gunmetal.
When it comes to the aftermarket wheel fitment for this application, we ran a 19×8.5 in the front with a wider 19×9.5 in the rear achieving the perfect staggered fitment. The wheels were wrapped in all-new 245/40/20 ultra high-performance all season Ground Speed Voyager HP tires.
With this setup, you can achieve a stance that places the wheels perfectly flush with the fenders making for an aggressive fitment. With concave profiles offered in the entire Curva Concepts lineup, adding a set of custom wheels like the C44s on your ride will take the looks and performance to the next level!
