Ever since the release of the first generation back in 2011, the Veloster has gained a ton of popularity. The second iteration of the car was just as successful as the first, if not more. Seriously, the Veloster N is no joke. The 2.0L turbocharged hot hatch makes 275-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to a 8-speed wet-clutch DCT. Not bad, eh? And with aftermarket support, the N culture will surely thrive. The bad news is that Hyundai has stopped production on the Veloster entirely and 2022 will be the last model year. A Blessing? A Curse? We don’t know. What we do know is that this car is a real-deal sports car.
The first step into performance modification has to be wheels and tires. Go-fast parts are fun, but properly optimized wheels, tires and suspension is where you get more bang for your buck. Having said that, this Veloster N is running our Flow Forged Curva Concepts CFF70 in a gloss black finish. Because the N is a front-drive car, we opted for a square setup. All four corners are running 19×8.5 +35 wrapped in 235/35R19 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires.
