Audi S5 Wheels

Back again with another German superstar; the B9.5 Audi S5. You’ve probably already seen our coverage of the A6 C8, D5 S8, B8 S4 and 8V S3. The missing piece of the puzzle was the 5 series Audi. Being a direct competitor with BMW’s M340i, the Audi S5 does a good job of holding down the fort. The B9.5 is powered by a 349-hp and 369 lb-ft V6 that shoots to 60mph in only 4.3 seconds. With great power comes great responsibility, right? Given these cars are often modified and tuned, one of the easiest ways to keep power down is wider wheels.

As if sourcing a clean S5 wasn’t hard enough, we somehow managed to find a Vegas Yellow Audi Exclusive. We got in touch with the owner, presented our options and lucky for us, they were already on the market for a new set of wheels. Destiny, it seems. Long story short, they fell in love with the Flow Forged CFF46, and the rest was history.

If you’re reading this and you happen to drive an A5, don’t fret. Audi leaves the panels on S and non-S cars nearly identical. Meaning you can run this exact fitment on A5 if you so wish.

Ignoring the cheesy headline above, let’s talk about fitment. This B9.5 is running our Flow Forged CFF46 in a Gloss Black finish and a 20×10.5 ET25 fitment on all four corners. Because it’s a Quattro, we wanted to ensure optimal performance by running a square setup versus staggered, which some people do. As for tires, our neighbors hooked the owner up with their new Lexani RFX Plus run-flat performance tires in 275/30RF20; again on all four corners. The Audi designers blessed their cars with generously wide fenders so fitting a beefy wheel and tire setup is very easy!
