BMW M240i

In the last few months, we here at Curva Concepts have been doing tons of research and development regarding fitments. More specifically for the new BMW chassis’. By now, you’ve probably seen the perfect fitment for the G20 M340i. And when we say perfect, it’s not an understatement. Naturally, we had to apply this same R&D for the new BMW G42 M240i. Like its bigger brother, the M240i boasts the same 382-horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque B58 that we know and love. The G42 also houses the same ZF gearbox, albeit with shorter ratios for gears one through three. This results in an absolute pocket rocket of a vehicle; and we love it so damn much.

We’ve been pulling sleepless nights behind closed doors in an attempt to perfect not only the M340i fitment, but the M240i fitment as well. All said and done, we think we’ve found it, and we’re ready for the world to see. This G42 is fitted with the new Flow Forged CFF70, rocking 19×9 +28 on all four corners. Tires, only the best. The G42 wheels are wrapped in 255/35R19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports’, again, all around. We know what you’re thinking, the car isn’t lowered. We know, but that’s only because aftermarket part availability for this chassis is scarce. But trust us, as soon H&R or KW drops something, consider it done. So why a square fitment and not a staggered one? Well, trying to run a staggered fitment on an AWD vehicle is tougher than it looks. There’s a lot of variables and variances involved, but we’re working on it. That said, we do personally feel that a square fitment is the best bet in regards to actual performance.
