As its name implies, the electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is the SUV alternative to MBZ’s slicked-back EQS luxury sedan. The two cars share the same platform and a myriad of other features. The biggest difference of course is the SUV variant offers much more cabin room. However, we know what really matters. POWER. The EQS 580 SUV puts down 536-hp and 632 lb-ft torque. It’s safe to say that this thing moves; and moves fast. The modification of electric vehicles has become increasingly popular over the last few years. But how often do you see a high-end luxury EV SUV that gets modified? It’s a sight to see, for sure. Normally we’d argue that an upgraded set of wheels and tires offer greater performance benefits. However, modifying cars doesn’t always have to mean better performance. It runs deeper than that.
The owner of this EQS 580 got in touch and asked for a slightly more aggressive fitment. You know the drill. We mounted our new Flow Forged CFF46 in a gloss black finish; which hits almost as nice as the OEM metallic black paint. Sizing: we went with 22×10 +25 on all four corners. As for rubbers: the wheels are wrapped in 285/40ZR22 Pirelli P Zero’s. Grip ain’t an issue, we’ll tell you that much.
